We’ve brought our competition teams here for five years and every year, we have a great time. They have clean, spacious rooms for our team to gather and study. Our favorite part is always having s’mores around the campfire with Cowboys Buck. He regales us with stories and celebrates our team after two long days of academic competition. We highly recommend.

We own a timeshare now for over 17 years. Kind of nostalgic because the rooms look pretty much the same as they did 17 years ago and even back then it was dated. We bought the timeshare back then for the waterpark which my kids enjoyed. The sad thing is the waterpark has been closed since the pandemic and I hope they do plan on opening it soon because the kids and grandkids don't want to go anymore because they're really isn't much to do now that the waterpark is closed and the drive to San Antonio is a bit of a drive. The pool is open but I live in a subdivision that has a pool and if I wanted to use it I could do that at home. So my husband and I utilized it this year since we didn't want our maintenance fee to go to waste and even that has doubled recently. For the price we pay in maintenance fee we could probably get a nice Airbnb at a similar cost. Rooms are clean, staff is nice. I just wish they would open up the waterpark again. It was really nice back in the day. Our highlight during our time there were the deers.

This resort is most definitely worthy of being in the cowboy capital of the world. The rooms are spacious, the appliances amazing, and excellent scenery. We even got to have s’more’s around the bonfire and we got to ride in Cowboy Buck’s tractor wagon and saw the mesmerizing meteor shower! Overall a great place to stay, really nails the cowboy vibe.

One of the best trips I've ever had! Cowboy Buck, who works at the hotel, was so incredibly funny and generous. He led a bonfire (with smores!) and even took my travel group on a tractor ride under the stars. Truly a magical experience! Such a fun stay with great scenery!

Staff were professional, courteous, and friendly. They went the extra mile to make you feel special. The course was in immaculate shape and greens rolled smooth and true. I highly recommend this course. I especially enjoyed the layout and design of the course challenging but playable!

We brought our kids here for February school vacation. We absolutely loved it!! The place is immaculate, staff was super friendly, the views are stunning, the kids had a blast mini golfing, golfing and feeding the deer on the complimentary wagon ride they offer. Buck the driver had a fire and sang on his guitar and had s’mores for the kids to make after the wagon ride!! So fun! We will definitely be back again!! My only complaint is the mattress could have been a little more comfortable but overall an amazing place to visit. :)

We’ve been bringing our team to stay at Flying L for many years now and have loved it every time. Our students who return from previous years always most look forward to the bonfire and s’mores with Cowboy Buck. He is personable, fun to listen to, and has great jokes. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
